Whilst a car is not necessary to enjoy the island, it does allow you to explore the rest of the island at your own convenience. Car hire is available from the airport, and is a 25 minute drive from the airport to the port.
There is a shuttle bus to the port from the airport which takes approximately 45 minutes. The ferry crossing itself from the mainland to the island of Brac is 45 minutes.
